Sevis Form
ATTENTION - WARNING
You MUST comply with SEVIS or your program status will be CANCELLED.
What is SEVIS?
SEVIS stands for Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). SEVIS is a United States Government computerized system that collects and manages data about foreign students and exchange visitors during their stay, including InterExchange Work & Travel participants. SEVIS is maintained by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Bureau (ICE formerly INS) and is designed to help foreign visitors follow the terms of their visas.
SEVIS tells the U.S. government where you live, where you work, and your legal status on the Work & Travel Program. All program participants must register on the InterExchange website http://www.interexchange.org/SEVIS.phtml within 10 days of arriving to the U.S. If you do not give your information to InterExchange you will be removed from the program, required to leave the country immediately and your ability to obtain anther visa to enter the U.S. may be jeopardized.
How To Notify InterExchange
To enter or update your address and/or job information in SEVIS, complete the form on this page or complete the reverse side of the postcard in your orientation packet and send to InterExchange Work & Travel USA with the appropriate postage.
The three things YOU MUST DO
Step 1. Give InterExchange the address of the place where you are living, including street name, within 10 days of your arrival to the U.S. This is your physical housing address. Do not enter a Post Office Box (PO Box).
Step 2. Give InterExchange the address of the business where you are working. Enter the information for your primary (first) employer if you have more than one job. If you do not have a job after 10 days follow Step 1 only. Do not wait to give this information to InterExchange.
STEP 3: Notify InterExchange within 10 days if you change your housing address or your job.
Note: ALL JOB CHANGES MUST BE APPROVED BY INTEREXCHANGE.
