New York, NY – InterExchange is pleased to announce that they have been selected to administer the Ambassadors Fund for Summer Work Travel (SWT) Scholarship Program in seven European countries. These grants will offer full travel and program scholarships for up to 80 university students from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Latvia and Lithuania during the summer of 2022. InterExchange has partnered with the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), another nonprofit U.S. Department of State designated sponsor organization, for the administration of the scholarships.

The Ambassadors Fund for SWT Scholarship Program is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State, with the goal of enhancing mutual understanding and supporting public diplomacy efforts between the United States and young people from around the world. The scholarship offers a unique opportunity for university students who demonstrate an interest in developing intercultural competencies and who seek to gain professional experience in the United States, to improve their English language skills, and to share their culture with Americans.

During the summer of 2022, Ambassadors Fund Scholarship recipients will travel to the United States for up to four months during their university summer break. They will be matched with host employers in seasonal communities throughout the United States and will work in seasonal, entry-level jobs. Scholarship recipients will meet, work, live with and learn from people of the United States as well as other international students while sharing daily experiences on the BridgeUSA Summer Work Travel Program.
