You’ll earn your internationally-recognized TEFL certificate in the small village of Manuel Antonio-Quepos before beginning your 3-month English teaching internship in San José.
A truly immersive experience
During your TEFL training and throughout your teaching assignment, you’ll stay with a welcoming local host family. You’ll have weekends—as well as a two-week break before your internship—to explore all the culture and natural beauty that Costa Rica has to offer.

The combined TEFL course and paid internship placement start at $6,595.
Income
During your internship, you'll earn $345/week. Accommodations with a host family (included two meals a day) are also included.
FAQs
Where will I be staying?
A private room in a host family home is included in the program fee. All host family locations are within easy proximity to the school location. Upgrade fees apply if students choose to stay at another accommodation types: Student Residence or Hostel (shared or private room), or a private hotel room or apartment. Please note: private apartments upgrades are only available in 4 week increments.
What type of transport will I be using?
A program representative will meet you at the airport and accompany you to your host family home or lodging and ensure your route to the local school.
What can I do when I am not in classes?
Weekends are free time so it is up to you what to do in your free time, but the team is there to support! Book weekend getaways with help from the local team, and connect with fellow global travelers in the process!
